Weather has impacted the renovations at the Beach Store, consequently it will not be open on for the May long weekend.

A number of people have volunteered to make their names available as first responders at Marean Lake, a current list of contacts can be downloaded at this link (and on our Documents page).

We recommend keeping a copy of this document on your phone and printing a copy for your cabin. Please keep in mind that most of these people are not full-time residents at the lake so you may need to make a few calls to find someone if/when you need them.

STORE OPERATOR AT MAREAN LAKE RESORT
The successful operator would be required to finance, operate, maintain, and manage the store along with various other responsibilities during the summer season.

The RM of Bjorkdale No.426 is accepting tenders for SNOW REMOVAL AT MAREAN LAKE RESORT

The successful contractor would be required to remove snow from municipal roadways in the resort after every significant snowfall (more than 4 inches) during the winter season: November 1 – March 31. Contract to be paid on a monthly basis.

SaskEnergy is seeking expressions of interest from cabin owners regarding the expansion of natural gas services to Marean Lake. Click here to download a summary page of the project, sign up sheets are available at the Beach Store at Marean Lake.

On July 9th the RM of Bjorkdale once again implemented a ban on all open fires (including fireworks) throughout the RM, including Marean Lake.

NOTE: this ban was lifted on August 5, 2021

Great news!  The new SaskTel cellular tower is operational and service has improved at the lake!

However, there is a wrinkle.  A number of cabin owners around the lake have been using cellular ‘boosters’ to improve their service and these are creating loops that now have the reverse effect and are degrading service. 

SaskTel is therefore requesting that all boosters be turned off immediately.  Service for everyone around the lake will be improved further once the boosters are off.

Due to the dry conditions, the RM of Bjorkdale has once again implemented a fire ban throughout the RM.  This applies to all open fires as well as fireworks, and is in effect immediately.
